The Woman Behind CookWomanFood
Hi. My name is Emily Mantineo and I am a mother, grandmother, wife, teacher, and a cook! No matter what occupation I am in, it involves some type of cooking. I come from a family of cooks! Recipes have been part of my life since I was 3 years old when my Aunt Corinne taught me to read beginning with recipes. My memere (French grandmother) would always have incredible pastries and desserts waiting for us for each visit. My fondest childhood memories are of great family gatherings with lots of delicious food. It seems every memorable event involved food. Unfortunately this involvement meant a life of trying to maintain a healthy weight. I finally have it figured out, a balance of eating to survive and living to eat. All posts will center on family, food, and a healthy lifestyle. Welcome and enjoy!
