We have a monthly holiday at our school, called Pastry Club. It is a food holiday, goodies baked up by people that know their food and have their priorities straight. After all, what could be better on a Monday morning than a perfection confection? There is nothing. Nada, not a thing. I haven’t written about Pastry Club Monday in a while, but I feel the need to as this month was the Pastry Club of months.  There were home baked goodies brought in from people that weren’t even supposed to bring anything in!  If  you like treats and want to get into starting a pastry club, it’s easy! Just ask people if they want to join a pastry club. There will be an outpouring of people ready to get in the act. What better club to belong to?  This month’s delicacies were chocolate and blonde brownies, a chocolate candy ball that one had to roll in confectioner’s sugar, pecan rolls better known as sticky buns, coffee rolls with nuts, and lemon squares. I cannot post the exact recipes but what I can do is post the pictures. They should give anyone the motivation needed to start this club. Maybe we can get Pastry Club Monday to be the new legal holiday. I live in Massachusetts and we love holidays, after all, we have quite a few that no other state celebrates!
